Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 September 2026

The short version: we cannot see your health data. It stays on devices you use with RemindMed.

RemindMed is a medication reminder app built by kaerudev. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.

Everything you record in RemindMed is stored locally, encrypted, and never uploaded to a RemindMed server:

  • Medicines, dosages, schedules and dose history
  • Profiles you create, for example for family members
  • Mood entries
  • Vital signs such as weight, blood pressure and blood sugar
  • Menstrual cycle logs — period dates, flow, symptoms and notes, and the estimates the app calculates from them
  • Custom reminders and stock tracking

Cycle data is reproductive health information, and it is treated exactly like everything else in this list: encrypted on your device, never transmitted, never used for advertising or analytics, and never shared with anyone — including us. It is not sent to any server for the predictions either. Those are calculated on your device from your own logs.

This data is encrypted with AES-256 before being written, and the key is generated on your own device and held in the operating system’s secure storage (Android Keystore or Apple Keychain). Neither we nor any third party can read it.

If you choose to install and use a RemindMed companion on a paired watch, the phone sends only the selected profile and the medicine name, dosage, time, colour and dose status needed for the current day. It does not send medicine notes, inventory, vital signs, moods, menstrual-cycle data, custom reminders or subscription details. The paired-device channel is encrypted by Android or Apple. Wear OS may relay the end-to-end encrypted transfer through Google infrastructure when Bluetooth is unavailable; Google and kaerudev cannot read it. A short-lived watch cache and any pending dose actions are encrypted with a key created by that watch.

There is no user account, no sign-in, and no RemindMed cloud sync. As a direct consequence, uninstalling RemindMed from all of your devices loses this data, because we hold no copy. Removing a profile or disconnecting a companion also removes its watch cache when the devices can next communicate; expired day data is not shown as current.

RemindMed offers an optional subscription. If you subscribe, two third parties are involved in processing the purchase:

  • RevenueCat — manages subscription state. Receives purchase history, device identifiers and IP address. Receives no health data. Privacy policy.
  • Google Play — processes the payment. Privacy policy.

If you never subscribe, these services receive nothing beyond what is needed to confirm there is no active subscription.

  • No advertising
  • No behavioural analytics
  • Never sells, rents or shares your data
  • Does not collect your location
  • Does not access contacts, photos, camera or microphone
  • Notifications — to show medication reminders
  • Exact alarms and reminders — so alarms fire on time rather than late
  • Full-screen notification — to show the alarm over the lock screen
  • Vibration — alarm alert
  • Run at startup — to restore your reminders after a reboot
  • Internet — to validate subscriptions and, if you use a Wear OS companion, to let Android relay its end-to-end encrypted paired-device messages when needed

Because there is no server and no account, there is no deletion request to make: uninstall RemindMed from the phone and any paired watch to permanently remove its local data.

If you subscribed, purchase records held by RevenueCat and Google Play follow those companies’ policies. To request deletion of those records, contact us at the address below.

RemindMed is intended for users aged 18 and over and does not knowingly collect data from children.

If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated and the current version will always be available on this page.
